This Privacy Policy explains how CosmicFlow, LLC (“CosmicFlow,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) processes information when you use the I Am Robot application for Meta Quest, related robot services, and this website (together, the “Services”).
1. Scope and our approach
I Am Robot is a spatial robotics experience that can run a robot simulation locally on your headset and, in authorized versions, connect to trusted remote simulation or robot systems. We design the Services to minimize personal information and separate platform identity from robot-training data.
2. Information we process
Platform authentication and account information
If account features are enabled, the app may send an opaque authentication proof supplied by the Meta platform to our identity service. We use it to establish an app account and create internal, pseudonymous account, operator, device, session, and attempt identifiers. Robot datasets are designed not to contain your Meta username, email address, platform proof, or authentication token.
Usage and task activity
For authenticated versions, we may process total foreground gameplay time, time spent in collection scenes, attempt duration, attempt outcome, and related pseudonymous session identifiers. This allows the app to show progress, maintain sessions, and understand whether product features work as intended.
XR interaction and robot-control data
To provide the experience, the app processes headset and controller poses, tracking state, Grip and Trigger input, clutch or motion authorization state, robot joint state, robot commands, task-object state, task progress, timing, reward, and success signals. During ordinary local play, this information is processed on the headset. In an authorized remote session, the information needed to operate the selected remote system is transmitted to that trusted system.
User-initiated recordings
When you explicitly start and save a recording, it may contain rendered task-observation images, robot state and actions, controller pose and input, task-object pose, task outcome, and technical timing information. Local recordings are stored in the app-specific storage area on the headset until they are deleted, the app data is cleared, or an authorized user exports them. Remote recordings may be stored by the connected robot-data service.
Technical and support information
Our services may process app version, connection and error status, device-generated identifiers, IP address and basic request logs. When you contact us, we process the email address and information you choose to include in the message.
Information not intentionally accessed
The current release does not intentionally access or record Quest passthrough-camera imagery, microphone audio, contacts, personal photos, or precise location. If a future feature changes this, we will update this Policy and any required in-app disclosures before that processing begins.
3. How we use information
- Provide simulation, robot control, task training, accounts, and progress.
- Maintain safety, session authority, security, and service integrity.
- Save recordings only when the relevant recording flow is activated.
- Diagnose errors and improve reliability, usability, and task design.
- Respond to support, privacy, and data-deletion requests.
- Comply with law and enforce our rights and agreements.
4. When information is shared
We do not sell personal information and do not use I Am Robot data for third-party behavioral advertising. We may share limited information with Meta as the platform provider; infrastructure, identity, hosting, or robot-service providers acting for us; a study administrator when you knowingly participate in a managed study; or authorities when required by law or needed to protect safety and rights. Service providers are limited to the information needed for their function.
5. Storage and retention
Local recordings remain in app-specific headset storage until deletion, app-data clearing, or authorized export. Account and usage records are kept while needed to provide the Services and are deleted or de-identified following a verified deletion request, subject to limited backup, security, fraud-prevention, contractual, or legal requirements. Research or training recordings may be retained under the separate notice and consent presented for that collection. We will not silently treat ordinary development or guest recordings as formal research data.
6. Your choices and rights
You decide whether to start, save, discard, or export an available task recording. Depending on your region, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy of personal information.
To request deletion, email hi@cosmicflow.world. We do not charge a fee for deletion requests.
7. Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed to children below the minimum age permitted for the applicable Meta account and region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child in violation of applicable law. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information may contact us to request deletion.
8. Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including pseudonymous identifiers, authenticated service requests, encrypted network transport where required, and separation of account identity from robot datasets. No system is completely secure. Information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, subject to applicable safeguards.
9. Website data
This informational website does not provide user accounts or intentionally use advertising trackers. Our hosting provider may process standard request information, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and security logs, to deliver and protect the site.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as the Services change. The current version and its effective date will remain available at this URL. Material changes will be communicated where required.
